In Flanders Field
We bow our heads
In memory of our
Beloved dead.
During World War 1
These men had died
While fighting to show
The American pride.
The mother, the father,
the child, the wife,
All mourn for the loss
Of their loved one's life.
These soldiers were buried
In a land far away
Where they are still remembered
Up till today.
From out of the ground
Just above the graves
Bloom red Flanders poppies
To remember the brave.
How did these poppies
appear in the land
is something that no one
will ever understand.
It was a miracle of life
After many passed on
As a symbol of remembrance
to honor those gone.
When you see a poppy
Bow your head low
And remember those soldiers
That died long ago.
